First post and Welcome talk

Welcome to the new Manchester Entrepreneurs website and blog!

Fresher's week is over and we have big plans for the academic year ahead. First amongst these is the new site you see before you. We'll be posting regularly with news and information about the many events we'll be putting on this year.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our stalls at the UoM and MMU Fresher's Fairs. You may have also seen the flashmob we organised on September 19th in association with Pieboy clothing.

Our first major event of the year will be our welcome event and founder's talk, taking place on 25th September (tomorrow) from 6pm to 7:30pm in room 3.104, MBS West (building 29 on the campus map).

At the event we'll be introducing the Manchester Entrepreneurs, explaining who we are, what we do and our plans for the rest of the year. We've also got three fantastic guest speakers lined up:

Doug Ward- Co-founder of TechHub Manchester and Nightworld;
Professor Luke Georghiou- Vice-President of Research and Innovation at the University of Manchester
Sean Jadoon- Manchester Entrepreneurs Alumni and Founder of Manchester-based sensation: Hottie In The Library
All are welcome. This should be a fantastic first event for members to hear from our enterprising panel.
