About Manchester Entrepreneurs

Founded in 2008, Manchester Entrepreneurs was set up to create and educate a community of future business and society leaders. Today, the community has flourished and comprises over 3000 members, being one of the largest student societies in the UK. Our former members range from successful business and social entrepreneurs to high performing employees of successful SMEs and FTSE companies.

Our goal is to provide our members with access to information, mentors and funds by working very closely with Manchester Enterprise Centre, our external Partners, as well as the rest of the fledgling enterprise community in Manchester. We organize start-up crash courses, Speaker Series' and practical challenges that focus on developing valuable business skills and giving our members the opportunity to gain experience in the field of their interest. On top of that, Manchester Entrepreneurs have founded the first business and enterprise focused university publication which is printed in 5000 copies every term and have hosted National Student Enterprise Conference organized in 2011. Additionally, the organisation received the Bronze Award for being a Finalist in the "Most Enterprising Sciety" Category in the RBS ESSA Awards, hosted by LinkedIn and RBS in 2012.

Our outlook for future is focused on integrating in universities by as much cooperation as possible and maintaining the same growth rate as we have before, which will allow us deliver our members the best support available in Manchester.

The aim is to launch numerous start-ups within the orgsnisation and give members the opportunity to experience life in a start-up, or in an environment that will allow them to think creatively and endure a steep learning curve. Manchester Entrepreneurs aim to become a key part of the enterprise ecosystem in Manchester.
